92 Claret, 4.44 gears+many newer/replaced parts

Location of the SVX: Sheboygan/Plymouth WI

Year:1992

Model:LS-L

VIN:JF1CX3535NH105158

Manufacture date:8/91

Paint Color:Claret

Interior Color:Grey

Miles:118,600

Options: Normal LS-L/LSi stuff... sunroof, heated mirrors, leather, etc.

AWD or FWD:AWD

Modifications:Low mileage 4.44 trans and rear end out of a 96 Legacy GT, Xdrilled/slotted rotors

Major service: All 4 wheel bearings have been replaced, all 4 calipers were rebuilt, Timing belt, idlers, tensioners all replaced as well as the front oil seals, valve cover gaskets, water pump, thermostat and new OEM radiator, front struts replaced

Engine Condition: Runs great, new TPS and MAF on the car

Maintenance Records: none

Transmission condition: Great, 4.44 swap just done with LSD swapped to the rear differential, drives great with no slipping, also has the external filter added inline

Glass condition: Currently has crappy tint on it (purple/bubbling) but otherwise in great condition

Type of tire and remaining tread: Kumho Ecsta ASX or something, only about 3-4/32nds

Type of wheels: stock rims

Interior condition: light bolster wear on the driver seat, other than that, great condition

Body condition: was repainted at some point, a few paint chips and door dings, 1 small spot of rust starting on the passenger door above the door cladding, starting to rust on the driver side 1/4 panel

Known defects or problems:Passenger side window does not go down, rear struts are a little squeaky at times

Comments about the car: Bought this car with a bad transmission and put the 4.44 gears in and fixed up a few other issues it had.
I would keep this car but I will be using the money from the sale to buy other SVX to fix up

Asking price: $3200 OBO or trades+cash for other SVXi that need work

Re: 92 Claret, 4.44 gears+many newer/replaced parts

congrats on the transaction.

That car looks mostly like my car should, but doesn't.

I badly wish my SVX had tint, because the convex glass acts like a lens, and solar-heats everything inside. my driver's seat is SHREDDED from years of sun damage, and the paint is toast, too.

The thing is, my Legacy has tint, and I had to pull it off of the two front door windows (rear doors, quarters, and rear glass are still thankfully tinted...), due to harrassment by cops pulling me over for it all the time. I still haven't gotten all the adhesive off of the glass. I would not want to have to pull the tint off of an SVX, or pull and clean the rear glass to have it re-tinted. Good luck with that.

But the car itself looks great, and sounds like it is a good runner, and all buttoned up. Kudos for keeping a good one rollin'!
