Won't start

Car cranks but does not fire. Full of gas. :-)
Flashing 'Check Engine' light indicates no codes.

Is this a bad ECU? How do I check?

fuel pump? fuel filter? ignition control module? timing belt? did it die while running or just not start the next morning?

Check your fuses first under the hood, especially the fusable link, and the ones under the dash on the drivers side and report back to us.

All fuses under dash and under hood checked good. Smells of gas when cranking, so I'm thinking fuel pump is OK.

If the ECU was bad, would I get the flashing 'check engine' light?

The car drove fine to parking lot at work, did not start after work. I went to check it, it did not start. When ignition turned on, all idiot lights stayed lit.

I checked codes at pin 2 behind kick plate, constant flashing on indicator. Then car started. I removed blue wire and car started 4 more times and ran fine. When my daughter went to pick it up, it would not start and has not started again since.

I have a similar problem, after swithching 2 injectors with one another, the car won't start, and it smelles like fuel, almost started sometimes, now won't even try to start. Is there a way to check the fuel filter? Is it ok to bypass it for trying? Sorry for jumping into the thread.

I first tried the fuel pump relay, because it is sooo much cheaper, but it turned out being the fuel pump.. I am disappointed that there is no code to indicate that.
