Transmission Question

Ok what the hell is going on with my transmission. I have no flaring and the shifting is fine in all gears up and down, but in 4th gear cruising if i let off the throttle my rpms just stay there and then slowing move down. It doesn't drop down to 1.2k like normal in all the other gears when i let off the gas. I have no codes ando no flashing power light. Anyone have any insight? Is the beginning of the of end for my trans?

In high gear your torque converter locks up, provided the trans temp is 150f or higher, to be more efficient.
The other gears do not do this.

but before cruising at like 75mph i would let off the gas and the rpms would drop down to like 1.2k and i would coast. i am no longer coasting it seems like it is engine braking.

Perhaps your trans was not fully up to the required 150f.
Mine will not lock up untill I have driven about 7 miles, in a hilly area.
Much longer if it's cold out.

ok so it sounds like nothing is wrong with it then. thats great too know. i already replaced the entire rear end, windshield, radiator, ac, and tires this year.
