Using Larry IIIs tire calculator,http://www.subaru-svx.net/photos/fil...yIII/14768.xls
the 215/45/17 would be 6.1mm shorter than stock.
A 225/45/17 would be 2.9mm taller than stock, but would be just as wide as stock.
