I saw those before, but they do look less secure than a normal drain plug. And getting a regular drain plug off isn't that bad at all.

I don't use jacks, ramps, anything. I just reach my long, skinny arms under and get it done. My 97 I have to lift up just a tad to get to the filter though, since it still has the undercover. The 94 hasn't had that cover thing since I got it, so it's really easy and quick.
