+1 to what Rob says. When you're running springs in the 400 lbs/in neighbourhood you're going to get an extremely solid ride, regardless of what dampers you've got. My Stance coils are ~450/335, and could officially be called teeth rattling. Fortunately the SVX is not the daily driver, so firm suspension is liveable. If you want examples of what a more comfort oriented system looks like, take a look at the rate that "sport springs" typically run. More in the mid/high-200 range, far short of the rates many people have with coilovers.
