I also prefer the amber signals. Simply from a road safety standpoint I like having the distinction between brake and turn lights.
I think my favorite thing would be to clear all of the tail lights and use bulbs that emit the appropriate colour light. A solid silver bar across the back of the car would look pretty neat.
