I do have questions for those that've done this;
1)From what I understand, I have to first loosen the lock nut, then do the adjuster?
2)And how do I know which way I'm suppossed to turn it.
3)Also, how am I suppossed to measure the tq'ing specs?
I know that sounds really noobish of me, but I've always just tightened to the point that it's tight, although I don't think I want to try such a procedure with the transmission.

1) Yes. You have to hold the adjuster still while loostening the lock nut.
2) You said that as you understand it, you have to tighten it. Turn the adjuster clockwise.
3)Years of experience, or remove the transmission so that you can measure it.
You are in New Jersey.
You could always bring it to YT.
