Re: Subaru SVX wanted - Washington State
I've got one for sale, I'll copy and paste my post about it in the group on Facebook. Car is located in Albany, Oregon but I would deliver.
Well, my wife and I are trying to buy a house, and I...

Re: interchangeable fyi
Yes, the JDM GC Impreza glass sunroof is the same size as the SVX's metal one. There were not that many differences between the JDM SVX and the USDM, a few extra options, different lights, different...

Re: SVX/Legacy brake interchange
I upgraded mine with some vented rotors from eBay. Unless you're doing a lot of hard braking, significant upgrades aren't really necessary for the street. If you're going to upgrade anything, I would...

Re: interchangeable fyi
I read somewhere that the glass panel does indeed fit, however you have to get a JDM one as the USDM one is the wrong size.

speed sensitive wipers
Are the speed sensitive wipers supposed to be speed sensitive on ALL of the intermittent settings? Mine will switch to low speed continuous (from once every second or so) when I hit 20-25mph, however...

Re: Fix the click click
One thing I would do differently on that is use the waterproof connectors that have the rubber over the end, or at the very least use dielectric grease on it. You can get weatherproof plugs that have...

Are we doing a fall drive this year?
Seems like for the last several years we've had a "Fall Colors Tour" or something similar around this time of year, but I haven't seen anything yet, is there one in the works? If not it'd be cool to...

Wiper inserts
So I went to the dealer closest to my work (Carr Subaru in Beaverton) and ordered wiper blades for my SVX (Just the rubber insert, not the whole blade) for $32  when the counter guy told me the...

Re: Upper (fixed) window glass removal
I'm going to repaint the whole car, most likely in Toyota Blizzard Pearl (brighter than the Subaru color) and paint the roof in the WRX black pearl, but that's down the road after I fix the body...

Just a tidbit, if you are looking for parts availability:
http://www.partseye.net/locator.aspx?Make=SU
punch in your ZIP and the desired radius and it will show you what dealers/warehouses have...

Rest in peace, Bob..
Can't say I ever talked to him directly but I recognized his handle, always hard when a board member goes, will definitely pray for the family. :(

Upper (fixed) window glass removal
So I got a replacement door for my SVX, but it's maroon (not sure if it's Claret or Bordeaux though) and so of course the tint color is wrong. Is the fixed portion of the window a pain in the %$@#...

Re: WCSS15 photos

Hood/trunk strut solution
Saw this @ the Subaru show on a Forester, made by Enduratech, might be able to make a set of these work on an SVX, and they're shorter and more out of the way than the stock ones.

Re: West Coast Subaru Show 15
The wife and I will be there, not sure which car I'm taking though. I'll have the SVX if I get it fixed and registered in time, otherwise I'll most likely be driving my 87 turbo wagon.

Re: $36 Replacement ignition coils?
I wonder if you could use four cam 2.5L plug wires, or at least the rubber boots off the ends. They'll fit in the hole and completely seal it against water, probably would not be hard to yank the...

Re: Thinking about a project, EG33 + EA82 wagon
It's got XT6 suspension under it already, I did a 5 lug swap like 8 or 9 years ago on it, is currently running 15 inch Legacy wheels and a dual range transmission. I need to track down an EJ 5...
