Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Well, I pieced the car back together tonight and started it. It runs fine on the 460 injectors I had in there so I guess I'll leave those in until I get the tuning figured out again. I've got lots...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Ok, so the latest and greatest major hold-up on this project is that some time ago, my laptop took a **** and I lost ALL my tuning files. I had spent a LONG time building definitions files for...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Money is considerably more available than time right now. The project is definitely taking another turn though...when I get back to this (the motorcycle is up for sale right now), I will be running...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Fear not, friends...I know it's been a long time but this project isn't dead. I traded one of my other cars for a GSXR 600, and I do't ride motorcycles so it's being sold this spring. I'm planning on...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Well that is how these things go, isn't it? I do want to get back on this project though. Badly. Gotta finish up at least one money-maker project first though. The good news is, I just painted...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Yeah, for all my impressively quick progress over month 1 of this project, I haven't touched it since. Sorry all, just haven't been able to find the time, or excess money. I WILL be getting back to...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Sigh...money's still tight and the heater's been broken in the shop so I haven't been working much. Really would like to get rolling on this project again, but it looks like it's still going to be a...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Yeah, I'm real sorry I haven't been updating guys, I've been stuck in hell lately. My grandparents, and great aunts/uncles are all getting to a delicate age (85-100) and I've spent a large part of...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
No worries, I'm planning to hit this project hard again here in about a week and a half. I've got to make sure my roommates are going to come up with rent on time, and then I should be able to get...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Well, hit a fairly significant setback. The little pump I got to scavenge the oil simply isn't going to cut it. It may pump enough hot oil to keep it from backing up in the turbo, but it certainly...

Re: Top feed fuel rails
Pics are up of the new injector ports. I test-fitted some injectors and the o-rings slide in MUCH more smoothly and fit just as tightly. The stops are also much larger ID than the ones I had in...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Buttoned up the exhaust with gaskets, lengthened the O2 sensor harnesses and plugged them in, and installed the wideband. Didn't get a chance to play with it as I've gotten the fuel rails torn back...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Still beats the hell out of my old supercharged Z28. The one time I took that beast to the track I drove it there. It was a 36 mile round trip. I filled up on the way out there and had to fill up on...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
I'm also going to plan on lengthening those O2 harnesses so I can get those plugged in...this 10MPG **** just isn't working for me, lol. I may just pull the whole exhaust so I can put the gaskets in...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
Those are some good things to think about and I appreciate the input. The intake is completely, absolutely 100% sealed up. As far as the exhaust side, I still have small leaks all over because I...

Re: Top feed fuel rails
Personally, I don't care what it looks like, I'm a function over form kind of guy. Hose clamps are fast, easy, cheap, and give a very even clamping force. It wouldn't be hard at all to have some...

Re: "92 problem" - Evoscan help please!
Hey, thanks so much! I'll have to try that out tonight.
Your website has been infinitely helpful to me already, (if a bit technical from a n00b standpoint) I guess I must have missed the...

Re: SMALL single turbo project, thoughts welcome!
That's what I was thinking. And it's definitely speed related, but almost goes away if you're off the throttle. The service manual states that it could be either differential noise, or final drive...
