Cruise were did it go

Cruise was working the last times I used it. Today nothing. The dash indicator light comes on. Will not engage. I checked the vac hose on the controller on firewall. Looks ok. Thinking clutch switch or brake switch.. Any other suggestions?

If it is the brake switch would the brake lights be on all the time the car is running?

How about I just try blowing the horn. Tell the truth I have not blown the horn in months... Funnier thing have happened. I lost my clock, dome light and alarm one fuse.

Part of it shares the same circuit. Try fuses 12 and 18

Also check to make sure the vacuum hose hasn't popped off the Diaphragm for the Cruise Unit under the hood..

Re: Cruise were did it go

When you push the cruise button, can you hear a "click" coming from the passenger side of the dash?
If not, you could have a bad c/c relay.
There are 2 of them and they can be a pain to get to. Located behind the glove box.
Just in case, here are the part #s: 82501AA150 and 82501AA160.
Hope it might help.:)

Yesterday at the Reading meet we checked under the hood. Huck said bang on this black box. Just under the battery and the radiator overflow bottle. Now my cruise always did work and suddenly stopped. If yours never worked this May not solve it , mine is back to normal after the banging. THANKS HUCKSTER
