water in spare tire well
My car was sitting outside for about 2 months while I was in college. My parents were starting it and letting in run occasionally to keep the battery alive and everything moving but they noticed that major condensation was building inside the windows. I figured It was the weatherstripping but I had taken out the back seat so my trunk was open to the inside on the car and when I checked in my spare tire well there was about 1.5 inches of water in it but the carpet covering was not wet at all. Does anyone have any idea where this water could be coming from?
-Thanks |
Oh wait maybe I should have searched I guess this is a common problem :o But I read that the sunroof drain pipe should be checked.....where is this located?

Allso check the tail light seals. Thats how water got into mine.

Antenna drain too. You can always pop some of the drain plugs off until you find it. :D

All valid suggestions. It was the taillight gaskets and sunroof drain hoses for me.

Me too. :)

I was poking around in the rear of my 'new' '92 Ebony and found that I have the same problem, except with the temperatures we've been having recently it's a two inch layer of ice! The spare tire is frozen into place.

My trunk filled with water because of the light seals and missing some light plastic part where the trunk door closes, all better now. |
