...and the drivers window went POP
So I'm in the car, and decide to roll up the windows and turn on the A/C. All of a sudden, I hear a loud POP and the tinkling of glass. All windows are up, but when I try to operate the drivers window, I hear the motor, but the window doesn't move. Did the glass come off of the rails, and then get broken down in the door? If so, ideas for fixes?

Re: ...and the drivers window went POP
The window bracket probably detached from the cable. There is a small white plastic clip thingy in there that attaches them. Sometimes they break. The good news is that you can probably fix it for a lot cheaper than you were probably thinking when you posted this. :)

Re: ...and the drivers window went POP
8 years ago mine broke. I went to Subaru and they said it is a whole kit 40 bucks . I had a guy in work make me one on a CNC machine out of nylon. I figure it cost the company 100 bucks .( programing, time and material ). I should have made a dozen for an extra $5.00 it would have cost . ooops . i don't feel bad the Company left town and left us High and dry 1,200 people out of work
