Fuel Level Gauge Dim

The lights in my instrument cluster are all uniformly bright except around my fuel gauge. Does this look like a bulb may be out behind it?

"D" does not illuminate on the dash, and I found the part no. for that bulb (85066PA030), does anyone know if the bulbs behind the fuel gauge are the same part number?

Re: Fuel Level Gauge Dim

I recently, replace my Drive (D) light bulb on my gauge cluster and while back there I exchange the bulbs that I used the least like bulb 1,2 and 3 with the one that are used the most like Park(P), reverse(R) and (N) Neutral.
And the new bulb went in D.
They are long and slender blubs. Do a search on (gauge cluster) on here. No there not the same bulb.

How long did that take you?

Re: Fuel Level Gauge Dim

30 mins the longest part is when you order the bulbs from subaru to get them.
so i would order the bulbs ahead of time so you dont have to have your cluster out of the car for 2 weeks
i used a 9 volt battery to test each of the bulbs soldered wire lead to the battery for testing purposes.

Wow, you got the dash apart that quickly?

It's not the whole dash, just the cluster that has to come out.
