What size throttle plates are you running? |
Re: SVX with ITB
Please please please tell me the stacks will protrude from the hood!? That would look so badass!
Great job, are you running aftermarket engine management? I don't see a MAF... Can't wait to see video of you tearing up the track! |

Running 45 mm have even considered going down to 42 mm. Right now I expect peak torque around 7,500 rpm. |

The stacks will be inside a air filter box so not visible. |
Re: SVX with ITB
Did you go with larger valves +1mm?

Re: SVX with ITB
Standard diameter valve, here is the spec
Okay its spec's, Standard bearings, High grade rods from Spool, Pistons are 11.5 ; 1 made by CP in the USA, Valves longer by Supertech, Solid buckets, Matt's high lift cams, IVO 6 BTDC IVC 40 ABDC EVO 50 BBDC EVC 9 ATDC ITB 45 mm diameter, head average area 46 mm. Distance from bell to intake valve is 400 mm. Expect max torque at 8,000 rpm. Volume in ITB including head is 0.64 litres and the cylinder capacity is 0.55 litre Injectors are 550 cc ( which maybe too small) we have 860 cc and 1,000 cc if needed. Have refitted Matts extractor pipes they are 3 into 1. 42 mm ID from engine then join 3 into 1 pipe which is 55 mm ID which is 900 mm from the manifold. Were the pipes join together there is a single pipes per side and they are 60 mm ID all the way to the back. Peak piston speed at 9,000 rpm will be 22.5 m/sec, which is about the same as most 4 AGE's at 8,000 rpm. If we run to 11,000 we will be more inline with most race engines at 27.5 m/sec. Engine tune table is TPS and rpm, Brakes get vacuum from a electric vacuum pump. |

Old school. Took this pic at the Ferrari Museum in Maranello.
