possibility of awd conversion

I was wondering what parts things need to be done to make the FWD's to AWD and if it would be worth doing?

Basically, AWD tranny, driveshaft, rear diff, axles, rear subframe, whatever other rear suspension parts are different. Probably an AWD trans control unit (TCU) and all the wiring needed to connect things. I'm sure I'm missing something though.

It isn't too hard to do as you'll read. I have most of the parts to do it with, So just let me know if I can help with anything if you decide to do it.:)

The bigger issue is not the wiring in the trans itself... It is the wiring going from the TCU to the fusebox and then back to the TCU for the FWD fuse and whatnot... An mt fwd-awd swap is simple and very bolts basic. Not impossible and not even that hard... if you are good with a schematic and don't mind running some wiring

I just made a harness and put it in the left kick panel when i did it, it isn't that hard at all really. I spent alot of money on bolts, though. But then again, I bought factory ones.

If you're going to have the tranny out, you might as well just swap to 5MT as well....

If you haven't done much to your car thus far, i would consider selling it and buying an AWD model. You'll probably end up paying about $1000 more than what you would be able to sell your FWD for, but that's parts alone for the awd conversion, not to mention the hours spent doing the swap.
