aluminum radiator install

Hey guys,

i got my new alum. rad from pwr in and installed this weekend. For those of you wondering as to whether to buy the second batch of alum. rads i would just like to say i had no problem putting the radiator in, everything fit, the hood shut, the only mod you have to make is scraping away a small section of the passenger side rad. fan where the top hose goes. Today was the first day running the car, the engine was running at one mark below half way which is slightly cooler than before. i changed my tranny fluid and the internal filter as well, my tranny fluid was dirty coming out and somewhat low (we got like 4-5 quarts out maybe). at any rate it shifts better now, i dont have a temp gauge installed so idk if its actually running cooler but it def. shifts better. so yeah theres my story about the new rad. just thought you guys might be interested to know!

If I wanted to know, I think I would look in the How-To Documents under Transmissions to find out all the informaton I ever wanted to know. Now, that is just me, but that is what I would do.  ;) :)

purolator 9410?

hey,

like ensteele said theres a great how-to document on changing the internal tranny filter, it walks you through step by step, for the actual part, you can go to pep boys and they have a catalog of all interal filters, i believe it was a purolator 9410, it costs 25.00 and it takes maybe an hour or two to change the filter
