Resistor in engine bay
Is it normal for the resistor for the transmission (the JECS one) located on the left apron next to the battery to be warm to the touch? This feels incorrect and I may attempt to source a replacement.

I would not worry abut it Mike, it's supposed to get hot, its dissipating power by dropping the 12V to 5V.

Thank you both. I pulled the resistor, inspected it and it looks good so I’m leaving it. If it had physical damage I’d be more inclined to replace it.
