Re: Lsvx-t

I can't see an end to these supply chain issues. Between Covid and Putin and whatever comes next we will all have to grow a full set of patience glands.
Thanks for the update.

Re: RIP power steering?

I lubed them. First with WD40 and then oil. They were good for quite a few years until I sold the car.

Re: RIP power steering?

My '92 got really stiff at slow speed quite suddenly. I found a wire hanging down under the dash near the TCU. When I reconnected it my power steering worked again. It was obviously a wire for the...

Re: pot hole causes loud clank

The caliper issue usually causes a constant rattle on bumps and especially washboard dirt roads. The brakes still function normally.
If it's a single clank I would be looking for a something large...

Re: Interesting price...

No, that honor goes to BaT. It amazes me how so many people have so much money to spend on cars.

Re: Interesting price...

It's a beautiful, very low mileage, rare '97. I've seen '96 and '97 cars with similar mileage sell for around $20,000.
If it had 1000 miles on it 32K would be about right. The original price was...

Re: AMR engineering radiator

That's pretty sad! What a shame, he would have been a good resource if he had gotten more.

Re: Steering rack rebuild kits

Good luck. Let us know how it turns out.
Funny it says '92 to '95, I wonder what changed in '96, '97? Something to do with OBDII perhaps?

Re: AMR engineering radiator

WOW! 5 of them sold in one day. Think there is a demand?
My Silla radiator is still in great shape or I'd be buying one.

Could they not be Heliarc welded or TIG if it's aluminum?

Re: Colby

RIP Colby.
We've gone through a clowder of cats over the years. Many were outdoor cats we adopted after they were abandoned by their owners. I can't believe can be so cruel to their pets.
We had...

Re: What have you done to your SVX (or other Subaru) today?

Put the SVX back on the road after the winter. I just read my post from last year, 8 posts up. 1 day earlier this year. I should have waited the extra day, there was salt on the road and today it is...

Re: OEM Quality Bucket Seat Covers?

I remember there being color/dye kits available. I bought one for my '92 with the black seats but beige was available too I think
If they are in good condition a quality upholstery shop should be...

Re: JDM engine

The JDM most likely will not have any EGR and plumbing. If it was a complete engine with the plastic engine covers, those are different also.
I have a spare JDM engine and I don't think there are...

Re: 1995 SVX LSi Power steering

The LSi has speed sensitive steering. The steering is loose for low speed maneuvering and gets firmer as speed increases for better control and stability. If there's a problem with the system the...
