Re: Polo Green Doors and 97 Grille

Did you ever get a chance to check out your door? I still need to either get new doors or get mine de-rusted.

Re: OBDII Mt conversion???

Re: OBDII Mt conversion???

I tend to agree. It is probably a blown cap. Where in NY are you? Maybe I can swing by and pick up your TCU, if you still have it. I will pay you for it if it works.

Hey, mate, I noticed you never commented on the conclusion due to Dispatch's nice work. You still out there?

Re: OBDII Mt conversion???

Ironically, I am getting a P1702 code! I never saw this post until now. Thanks for the Kudos. You finished what I started and did it exactly how I would have done it. Good work!

Re: Need help on transmission diagnosis

More info:

Still no CEL BUT P1702 code is stored in the ECU per my OBD2 code reader.

I read the transmission service manual and it could very well have been stuck in 3rd, not 2nd, yesterday. ...

Re: Need help on transmission diagnosis

Update:

Car sat overnight and I took it for a quick drive this morning. Temp this morning was about 80F or 27C. When I observed the bad behavior yesterday, temp was about 95F or 35C.

Car...

Re: Need help on transmission diagnosis

Thanks Trevor. I will need to bring it to my mechanic for that. Do you think a short drive in 2nd gear is OK or should I get it towed?

Re: New Tires

Larry, I have found Continental to be the best bang for the buck right now. Very good all around performance but quite a bit less than Michelin, which is great. I also like General Tire for the...

Possible alternative antenna mast

Has anyone tried the mast for a 2002 Volvo S40? There are two versions. One with teeth and one with a smooth cable and a ball on the end like ours. I am wondering if anyone ever tried the one like...

Re: Dates for Reading 20

No guarantees but the best weather dates are the last weekend in August and the October 15-17 weekend, historically speaking. October is also less likely to be god awful hot.
