Description:Overall, I'm not impressed by these guys. Here's the good and the bad.
Good-repairs were made correctly (center pipe replaced)
-friendly service guys
Bad-don't know SVXs. Mine was the first the service guy had seen (I think he was new hire)
-parts are $$$$. I priced a new sunvisor. Steven's Creek wanted $166. Every other dealership in the area $148.50. I endup getting it on the internet for $120. The center pipe with gaskets was almost $500.
-service is $$$. The hourly labor rate is $98. An oil change with synthetic oil was over $80. They wanted to charge me $300 to do the rear brakes and $170 for the drive belt).
-the $250 "we inspect everything" inspection didn't turn up something as obvious as bad ATF fluid that was brown and smell like burnt toast.
I'd try somewhere else in the area.
I've talked with the guys at Santa Cruz Subaru (where my girlfriend bought her Forester) and they seem pretty knowledgeable. I've priced a couple of things there and their prices are reasonable ($200 for rear brakes, $67 for an ATF change, $75 for the drive belt change). I'll try them next time and let you know.

Not an SVX owner, but I just had a horrible experience with these guys. The work I asked for wasn't completed, they were rude, kept the car for a 45K checkup for 3 days, and broke components they shouldn't have touched. -Never Again. Try Seaside Subaru.
