involontary grill mod.

I had a bit of a condensation problem with my waterfall, so I thought I would take it out, seperate it, clean it, and re-install it.

Last time I used the radiator to seperate my rear tail lens - but oh, no, that was WAY to slow for me to do again... So I used the oven - like we do to seperate the headlights...

4 minutes at 250 deg... and It looks like this.

Great looking job eh, I tried to pull it back into shape... no such luck.

SO - OUT COMES THE DREMEL!!!

Now it looks like this...

I'm open to suggestions... perhaps some wire mesh?

blah.

patrick.

I may just leave it, and detail the parts behind where the grill used to be...

It looks like this at the moment...

Oh, and don't use valve lapping compund to clen the lenses, unless you want em REALLY clean after an hour more of rubbing compound and wax...

By the way, I am able to coat the lenses now with the same hard coating that goes on eyeglasses... have to paint it on then cook it in a very bright uv oven, but hopefully I won't have to deal with cleaning them again for several years.

I'd leave it, or get a 97 grille.

Looks fine w/o the honeycomb part to the waterfall. The only draw back will probably be a few more bugs on your radiator...

No, its most likly XP with a Longhorn skin and sidebar. Either that or he really does have the Longhorn M6 alpha release, which I'm sure is very buggy.
