Installing a MSD Stacker box

can be one of the most noticeable mods you can do to these cars...I had one on my old Svx, and installing it in my Pewter
car today. Ill have it done tomorrow. Takes about 2 hours.
This is a pic of the starting stages.
Noticeable HP gains, smoother performance thru out the
whole powerband, esp up to redline.
Better MPG which today is really helpful.
I expect it pays for itself in the first yr.

ok i see a couple of boxes under ur hood im guessing its the red box so what does it do?? is this a universal part aka good for legacy too? and what about costs?

The MSD is the redbox, the purple you can see a little
is the ZEX box. Its designed to fit any and all distributerless
ignitions without having to buy their Digital Box which cost
a bit more.
This unit runs between $350-390 I cant remember at
the moment, but I can check.

its comes with a booklet of instructions...
1 page is for our cars.

works like a dream
improved throttle response
noticeable hp gains
improved mpg
installs in about 2 hours

Its the larger Red box towards the rear left...

just amplifies the spark even more then stock to the
plugs, by ALOT....
Hotter Spark = more hp etc

Dayle,
I take it you're using the 6 channel version? Can you report back after a week of driving to give some "real world" figures as to how much it has improved your gas mileage? I had a MSD-5 in my '68 Camaro, and it definitely improved performance and gas mileage (seat of the pants on performance, measured fuel useage for gas mileage).

Ill post some updates in a week or so, after I go thru
a tank or 2 of gas......
I was getting about 17mpg city and 24 hwy up till now

on almost all my cars.....mpg was always improved
at least 5% or more.
Usually you can expect it to pay for itself in the first
10k miles.

So which wire going into each coil are you actually tapping into (I haven't looked at my engine yet, so I'm wondering if the wires are color coded)?
