Rear Windshield Removal
Has anyone hear successfully removed and installed their rear windshield? I would like to replace the weather stripping surrounding the rear windshield. Are special tools required? Tips/advice? Something that could be done in one's garage? Thanks in advance. Chris

Re: Rear Windshield Removal
I removed and reinstalled the rear glass on the 93 I had last year. You should have special tools if you plan to reuse the glass.
Additionally, the rear window weatherstrip is not available separately from the window. This statement is also true of the front windshield. You cannot get that weatherstrip/moulding separately. It is bonded to the glass during the manufacturing process.

Re: Rear Windshield Removal
So I'm guessing that it has to be removed very carefully in order to be re-used? I've got a spot of rust starting at the rear edge of my roof.... I'll most likely have a good glass place take it out when the car goes in for paint.

Re: Rear Windshield Removal
That is a real shame, I am going to have to be creative to get GEICO to replace my windshield...
