Rusty fuel line leak

Well after my first Reading Meet I have some new hope of fixing the body damage on my emerald pearl. So I moved it out from where it's been sitting for the last year to get ready and it was gushing fuel out from the lines right underneath the tank. Reading through old posts I discovered I would have to disassemble the entire rear half of the car to get the tank out to replace those lines. Since 4.44's are in the near future and I will be pulling that apart then, I took a little shortcut that I hope will last. There is a little gap above the rear of the tank where I was able to fit rubber fuel hoses through and ran them across and down along the side of the tank and to the connections underneath bypassing the inaccessable steel lines that go over top. When I do have a chance to pull it all apart I'll probably just stay with the rubber hose and re-route them over the tank where the steel ones were.

Yup that's what I did. Actually i did not do it but I got the garage to do it on all my gas lines that run off the tank. You can also get access from removing the plate in the back seat/trunk.

Re: Rusty fuel line leak

Yeah I accessed the lines coming off the pump from the cover behind the seat. I connected the hoses to the pump and ran them down behind the tank where there is a little gap between the tank and the body then around the side to where they go into the frame rail and forward.
