Might need grassroots motorsports support

Hocrest and I are thinking of making a run at the grassroots motorsports challenge this October but of course would need some help getting there as it'll probably cost us close to a $1000 to run all said and done. Just wondering who would be willing to help out. We can come up wiht t-shirts for it or whatever but we're fairly confident that provided some NOS for the drag portion and some decent 275s we can come up with a VERY respectable finish if we can do it financally. Next year we're not going to be eligable since we'll have exceeded the financial requirements.

Who's willing and able to lend some support? PLEASE don't respond or PM if you're just doing it out of goodwill and can't/won't come through as we need a realistic picture of our chances to put an SVX in the top 10 of a national mags event!

Depending on when in September I could pay, I should be good for at least $50. I just started a new job with a Medical Research company so I have different pay period to adjust to. The later in September...the better. I'll do Paypal.

I might be able to kick in an ultralite bumper and some ultralite side skirts to help you out in the Concours car show part of the challenge

Thank you EVERYONE for your very kind contributions thus far. It looks like we are gonna be able to get it done with the pledges and by selling about 30 more tee-shirts for $20 a piece plus shipping. We'll get ourselves registered and work on getting the paper work backdated as I know I don't have receipts for everything we got. We won't be under $1000 if we run with the new tires and rims for the drag but even with that $900s we should make it at $2000 after the unneeded parts we sold.

Oh yeah and fir those who are committing over $30 we're gonna try to get your names on the car if we can!

More details to come but right now we have lots to do by thr reg deadline of Sept 1!

Other things we need if we can come up with them temporarily!

NOS kit setup (for the drag then you can have it back)
at least 2 275/50r16s for the autox. I promise they won't get flatspotted!
Possibly a sunroof metal as contours would be much nicer to us if we got rid of the hideous plastic stuffed in there now!

I know Mike621 has a new sunroof panel for me. If I can get it from him and replace mine you can have my old one... it has a tiny rust bubble on the front center lip of it but it is barely noticeable

Cool Tom, that Silver parts car at Harry's still has its roof but its too nice of a roof to tear apart just for the steel.

OK... I got the T-Shirt designed tonight, and I sent out a PM to those that have offered so far.

If anyone else would like to contribute, send me or Benebob a PM and we'll gladly accept your support. The truck takes alot of gas...
