Door Lock Switch

I have a 92 LSl that I want to add the power door lock switch thats found in the later models. I have a shifter trim plate that has the hole in it for the switch and need to know how to wire it up. Any help would be appreciated!

Best bet would be to go to a shop that install power door locks. for $149 you could get it installed and have auto start too boot.

you can easily do it with any switch. I, and I'm sure you, would prefer the stock door lock switch. Regardless all you have to do is feed negative to two wires at the door lock timer on the passenger side. I believe the wires are accessable behind the passenger kick panel or up high in the passenger kick panel area....two orange wires. Give one ground for unlock, the other ground for lock.

Very simple.

You only have to ground the wire that locks the driver's door. When you do that the driver's door will lock and that will automatically lock the passenger door.

Does anybody know if the door lock timer on US models is the same unit as JDM? If so then you could connect the speed sensor wire and have the doors autolock at 12mph.
