When the car gets warm and you try to leave a stop light it revs up a second and then pops into gear. Does this make sense? Kinda like giving it a little gas in neutral and pulling it into a forward gear. Does it in Reverse too.

Was really hoping that the trans wasn't going to go but this is new now.

, may not be doom and gloom, I'd try draining the atf, removing the pan, cleaning the filter, or fit a new filter, and fill with new atf.
This may fix it.

mine does it going into reverse, tranny shifts well after being in gear and everything just takes a couple tries to get it into reverse
