Hmmm, tough one to diagnose if you're not there. Could be power steering o-ring, could be AWD binding...

Yeah, that's why I'm leaning towards a bad ball joint. I'd have that checked out immediately. You don't want that sucker separating at freeway speeds.

I've never had a ball joint replaced by a shop - I've always done it myself. That, and I've never replaced an SVX ball joint.

But it's gotta be less than $200.

Look at it this way. If it's not a ball joint or strut mount or tie rod end, then that's great. If it is, and you don't get it looked at, at some point when it starts virbrating at freeway speeds it's going to separate and you will lose control of the car.

That's why I recommend that you have it looked at immediately.

If a rotor is at the minimum thickness it will cause uneven braking. I had that problem.

Pavan, just tell your mechanic about your vibration while turning at high speeds. He (or she) will know what to look for.

If you're taking the car to the same mechanic who replaced one front and one rear brake rotor, I guess there's little point in talking about that because he thought it was okay in the first place. I don't think it's okay, but what do I know?

Hi Mr.Pockets,

I got ur point.... actually my mechanic is also telling tht those vibrations may be due to mismatch of rotors.... but as he is a little bit economical .. he suggested me to use it as it is for some time as i am not using it more often..(hardly 10 miles a week)... but he doubts on the rotors itself and i haven't noted him at anypoint about other issues( which u guys have pointed otu) to look after. Today i am goin to ask him all of those issues to check...

i'll let u know after i got it checked....

thanks,
Pavan.

Hi Guys,

Today its rainin over here and i have noticed something in my car while driving....

+ve
1) Today i haven't felt the vibrations tht i mentioned previously while turning or while braking at high speeds. But as i told u, on normal days the vibrations are there while turning at low speeds and braking at high speeds.

-ve
2) I am feelin some hot air near my feet at the pedals after sometime of running.

-ve
3) While I am braking in the reverse direction, it is giving me more vibrations.

Observation..
I am not able to locate the vipers summer and winter position switch in my car which is supposed to be to be on right under the steering.

Any ideas or suggestions....plz...

Pavan.

Take a look at the ecsaine dash panel under the steering wheel. It will be on the left side.

Hi earthworm,

I ahev seen it and it is oerating... thanks... previously i haven't seen tht much deep into it....

Here is another problem i came across today.... here it is rainin heavily and when i am using my remote entry system... previously it used to give me 2 beeps of horn when i unlock and one beep of horn when i lock )and all the signals and tail lights, blink accordingly... but from today morning it is giving some quick low 4-5 beeps for both lock and unlocking and no blinkin of lights..... but the system is working (i mean the car is locking and unlocking as usual..)...

wht might have went wrong? ...any ideas...

Pavan.

Push the security switch once. The car makes those 4 lower beeps when the security system is off and you lock or unlock the car remotely.

What he said.

I have no experience with the SVX security system and it seems that that is one less headache for me to worry about.
