New ride!

Well, it's not an SVX, but it IS AWD

This will be my new little strip/autox toy. It's a 97 Eagle Talon TSi. Turbo, AWD, and 5 spd makes for a fun little car. After I get this paid off, I may be in the market for an SVX that needs a little TLC.

Here's some pics:

Thumbs up

Nice looking DSM! I'm sure you'll get some great times at the track and AutoX circuit...

Is the car stock or modded in anyway? What was the price you paid for it?

-Chike

P.S. One of the first free mods for those cars is to cut away some of the plastic that's infront of the intercooler on the passenger side of the front bumper.

Nice looking car... I've always liked those.

Only one problem I see though. The wheels on the right side are facing a different direction than the wheels on the left side... not sure which ones are backwards though. (at least it's not a problem unique to the SVX)

Ummm.....if each side is facing in one direction, then that means that all four wheels are the same, so not only are two backwards, they don't even belong on the car

After looking at the pictures until my head hurt, and then drawing a picture to straighten things out, you're right. The wheels are all exactly the same, which doesn't work well for directional wheels.

That's not what it means. It only means that they are not all "Directional wheels"... The SVX has wheels made for the left side and another set made for the right side. Some of the other cars (Saturns, Eclipses, and almost every other car that has a wheel like a "sawblade") with this type of wheel are just all made from the same casting, hince, all the wheels are the same.

Please don't "Slam it" man... Put some nice JIC coilovers on it The best things to upgrade first are 1) Handling and 2) Brakes.... After that there's plenty to mess with when it comes to that engine

But over all, great looking talon man , Take good care of it

Become friends with a repairman so he gives you discounts when you bring it in weekly.

Thanks for the replies guys! Yes, the wheels are all the same, I knew you guys would point that out!

The car is all stock, and I won't slam it. I'll be putting on a set of coilovers that should drop it an inch or so. Then a big brake kit will be next, then I'll dip into the motor!
