I would say Porsche is truly THE super car to own. They are always up there with Ferrari and Lamborghini in performance, but are much more civilized, better equiped, and don't require the massive maintenance the Italian cars do. I remember a review back in 1989 I think comparing the F40 to a 959. The numbers came close, but the 959 was more of a real car. You could drive it to work if you dared to in a $250,000 car. It had carpet, a radio, power options and I think A/C. The Ferrari had plastic windows, no carpet, and no real dash, just dials on a carbon fibre board. Germans succede through superior technology and workmanship. For Italians, it's all about the emotion. Neither is better, just different.

Nice 911. Landshark probably is more of an authority then I am, but I think it's called a 997 series? I think the 996's were the last air-cooled ones. Anyway, I like the yellow calipers.

Not the new 997, but the '04 Porsche 911 Turbo Cabriolet with the X-50 performance package boosting power to ~450hp. Retails for 150K+ and it's owned by one of my female VP's.

I remember seeing a McLaren dealership in London when I was there.
Didn't get to go inside though...
