98 Outback 5-speed $10,995

Nice car, but still not worth $11k with a 5 speed and 60k miles Lucky if he gets 5-6k for it, and he says hes firm on the price. NO WAY JOSE!

Yep, he's dreaming. Looks well cared for, but even with the recent HG and TB job it's only worth $5-6K.

It's identical to my daughters car. It's a '97 has more miles and a bit of rust but we only paid. $1,000.00 for it.

Re: 98 Outback 5-speed $10,995

Re: 98 Outback 5-speed $10,995

Yesterday I noticed an '06 Baja 5-speed with forty-something thousand miles; asking price $18,000+. Based upon casual perusing of Autotrader and eBay, that's not so unusual. Are people really getting that much for these things?

that is a lot of money for a car with cracked leather and a scuffed up bumper.

The baja's do demand a decent bit of money. No one liked them when they were new so not many were sold. Now, they're quite popular.

Those of us who were at the 10th Anniversary got to see the first Baja to roll off the assembly line. It was bright yellow and driven to the hosted dinner by the President and CEO of SIA, Mr Nagano. We poured over this very thoroughly and while some liked it, some were not too impressed.

It was different and new (in a post-BRAT sort of way) but many were lukewarm in receiving it and felt that Subaru should have done more homework in its development before it went into production

Re: 98 Outback 5-speed $10,995

I saw the original( prototype ) of the original Baja . It had a full roll down back window and fold down rear seat. Would have been a winner. Saw it at the Texas State fair about 2years before it came out. It was also turbo. Shown with a motorcycle in the back.
