Tranny Issues

Well, the darn transmission acted up today. I had recently cleaned and adjusted my TPS and it was running great. But today it wouldn't shift out of 1st without backing off on the throttle. It got progressively worse over about 5 miles where it would hardly pull at all, 4000rpm and 30-40mph. I pulled into a gas station and filled up. Got back on the road and it worked OK for a few shifts. But then it started to not want to shift out of first without backing off on the gas again. It didn't slip on the 15 mile ride home. Didn't get hot or anything. Didn't slip out of 4th once it was up there. Anybody seen this before?
