Getting code 25

I just started getting transmission code 25 (Engine torque control signal). Honestly it really came as no surprise...
The transmission has been acting unusual. Usually after long drives at highway speeds it bucks, bogs, and seems to shift harshly - even after sitting for a day. It never before threw this code until the other day when it stalled at a stop sign.
I also have what appears to be a misfire when warmed up at idle. I've read that a engine misfire is a common misdiagnose for a torque converter lockup malfunction.

Does anyone here have experience with this particular issue? Is TQ lockup controlled by a solenoid that could be sticking?

Re: Getting code 25

Interesting. I have a stored code 25 and didn't know what it was from the list in the How To Docs. I have noticed the misfire at warm idle lately (was thinking coil pack) and some bogging when trying to accelerate hard at medium speed. No harshness though.

I had the equivalent torque control code on my Volvo and it turned out to be a sticking selenoid (it shifted into overdive prematurely and didn't want to ship back out when slowing down). Fortunately, cleaning and reconnecting was all that was necessary.

Re: Getting code 25

Started the car after work today and drove about a block and noticed that my rpm wouldn't drop when I let off the gas. I was in 2nd and 3rd gear and had TQ lock-up. Got to the stop sign and it stalled. After partially blocking the right turn lane for 15min I finally got it in gear without stalling and made it home without much further incident.

Yes, I think I'll have drop the pan and run some tests on Duty Solenoid B since that's what operates the lock-up clutch. Or maybe I'll just pull the whole valve body and have it modified. Someone on here rebuilds those right? Anyone?
