Tachometer Hook Up

I have a tach I used to use for engines with points. Come you know before electronic ignition.

Is it possible to hook this up to the SVX? To get the engine RPM?

If not what does one use?

Thanks

Significant Technical Input
If it has a one cylinder setting just hook into one of the primary coil wires. If not, you'll have to do the math in your head.

Isn't the one on your dash good enough?

So I can just slip a connector wire down into the Coil Connector at the wire harness. Oh yeah it's been a while. Hook to the coil and to the ground .... that's right. Now a one cyclinder setting..... A coil for six plugs fire six times for each plug while the svx fires once for each plug. Off by a factor of six or use a single cyc setting. Okay I got it.

I would like to the engine speed while I am taking some vacuum gauge readings. I think I would like to take a movie of it.
