Water on a rag works pretty well, the rag should be damp but not soaked. If that isn't strong enough you can use an all purpose cleaner, spray on to a rag and then clean, do not spray directly on the suede.

This is what the Ecsaine website says about cleaning:

Everyday Care

Accumulated dust, lint, hair and the like
Gently brush off with a lint brush.

Overall soiling
1 Wipe the entire fabric with a well-wrung cloth dampened in lukewarm water (about 40 ºC/105 ºF).

2 Once dried, brush the fabric (following the grain) with a lint brush. This process yields the best results when performed about once a month.

Caution:
It’s important to make sure the lukewarm dampened towel is well-wrung and that you not wipe the fabric too hard. Also, be sure to keep the rag or cloth you use stays free of dirt as you wipe.

Spot Cleaning
For spills, gently pat the spilled liquid with a paper towel. This will take care of most spills. For dried-in soiling, coffee stains and the like, you’ll obtain the best results by gently brushing the stained area. Vacuuming up the dried material is also effective.

1 If the above method doesn’t work, try wiping the stained area from the outside in with a well-wrung cloth dampened in lukewarm water (about 40 ºC/105 ºF).

2 It’s important to make sure you keep a clean area of the cloth applied to the stain and that you not rub the fabric too hard.

3 If the surface nap looks tousled, brush it gently.

4 After wiping up, allow the fabric to dry completely before using.

Oil-Based Stains Not Removable with Water

1 Try to wipe up oily stains as much as possible--without spreading the stain--with a dry cloth or paper towel.

2 Next, take two rags, one soaked in benzene, the other clean and dry. Pat the stained area from the outside in with the benzene-soaked cloth, then pat the loosened dirt and oil off with the dry cloth.

3 Repeat depending on degree of soiling.

4 After removing the stain, let benzene dry completely before using.

Caution:
When using benzene, make sure the room is well-ventilated and avoid contact with open flames. We also recommend placing a flameless ventilation fan nearby. In addition, avoid letting the benzene soak into the cloth. If benzene should get soaked in, wring the cloth gently (if benzene is dripping off the cloth, it’s "soaked.").

Important Tips for Everyday Care

Insufficient wiping up of household cleansers used as part of everyday care may leave a residue that can weaken the polyurethane that Ecsaine® is composed of and lead to problems such as damage of the fabric surface. Avoid use of such cleansers as much as possible. Further, since highly concentrated cleansers (such as extracts) are most problematic, if you do use them, be sure to dilute them with at least ten times the amount of water and to wipe off any cleanser residue with a damp towel.

This would have been covered nicely if the FAQ suggested in 2004 was easier to find... if it exists?
