Gum!
Anyone know an effective way to get bubble gum out of the floor mat? The grape stench has now filled my car *^@#$&*(@!!!
Thanks.

Peanut butter!
Honestly, take a spoonful of creamy peanut butter (any variety) and rub it into the gum. Keep at it, it takes a while. The oils in the peanut butter dissolve gum. This has worked very well taking gum out of my 5 year old daughter's hair. Washing the peanut butter residue of the mat is easier than the gum.

the peanut butter thing actually works. I got gum in a shirt a while back and my sister recommended it. Just put a little PB on there and rub it with a brush.

Thanks. I'll give it a try. And remember, choosy moms choose Jiff

Freezit
If the peanut butter works without staining your carpet, then go for it.
An industrial method for removing gum is to spray it with freezit aerosol. You know, the type they use for football injuries, and also plumbers use for temporarily freezing pipes? It will make the gum hard and brittle, and you can break most of it away. Possibly you could get the large bits off using the freezer aerosol, then remove the last bits with the peanut butter. Joe
