AC problem?

while i was warming the car this weekend in chicago... i realized that the ac doesn't really work right in the svx.... there seems to be no air blowing out from the vents.... so i'm thinking bad compressor? bad motor??

anyone with any idea how much it would be to fix??

Re: AC problem?

Hmm.. No use jumping to conclusions. Check the climate control diagnostic and technical .pdf in my locker.

I agree with Boone, check the diagnostics.

Did the blower motor work for heat? If it's the compressor, the blower motor still blows air, just not cold air.

This maybe be in the dumb question category, but if the interior temp was at/near the climate control setting there wouldn't be much air flow expected.

don't think that when the car's been sitting by the street for a week in winter chicago, that the outside temperature would be close to what the temp control set at....

true, i didn't know about the climate control diagnostic thingy, will try it once i get my car back

Perhaps the levers that open & close the vents are stuck. Especially if it's blowing cold at out the defrost and/or heater.
