Cut it OUT Leslie!

I had to park all my cars in my neighbors driveway, away from the trees, because of the expected ICE STORM....

....use your powers for something else please....like bringing warm weather next week!
Don.....slip slidin' away in Jumping Branch...

Cool

A convergence like no other:

Combine a DC weekend with an expected two feet of snow, an expected visit by Osama, Valentine's day, & at MY supermarket you've got 500 bozos choking the checkouts with 500 rolls of toilet paper, 500 rolls of duct tape, 500 bottles of spring water, 50 loaves of Wonder bread & a bouquet of roses. Sounds like a shrink-wrapped romantic weekend for all.

Ron. (OH, NO - the box is almost empty!)

Significant Technical Input
You're making it sound as if we're getting off easy here. Just 1/2 -3/4" of ice expected by morning. I just got back from dinner and the roads are already as slick as cat crap on linoleum.

What is with all the snow in the DC area this year??? I am amazed at how bad you folks south of the Mason Dixon have been getting hammered with the white stuff. Enjoy it while you can (if you can)!

Johnny,

We are getting snowed on right now in northern DE. The 92 with 3 poor Yoko AVS dBs (7/32) and one really poor Toyo Proxes T-1S summer tire (5/32) wasnt too bad this morning in about 4-5 inches of snow. The problem is the snow is on top of packed sown and turned to ice. Stopping is non-existant with the ABS, I had better luck tapping the brake pedal quickly.

ROTFLMBO!!!!!! There are tears in my eyes....

Well, I have the window open onto the roof and in the last 30 minutes I have had heavy sleet, cold rain, and snow....which is what we have at the moment. Sleet was falling so hard, it was bouncing 6 inches into the air. Thankfully, the power lines have held up. I am looking across the road at our cars buried in ice in my neighbors driveway.

Well, we have all the basics and the generator in the basement is standing by. I don't have plastic sheeting.....I think all this ice works quite well....

I bet Ron, Larry, Rufus, Larry...etc. are getting hammered. Weather Channel is depressing. Even the Daytona 500 may be rained out...Don

Larry, you poor bastard! Thankfully you have that freshly mirrored bedroom, boxes of wine, and best of all, the Beautiful Naviguesser to wyle away the time with.

I just read that they are calling for my area to get 21 to 30 inches of the white stuff. My back is hurting just thinking about what is in store for me tomorrow and tuesday. My replacement tranny was to be delivered to the shop this Wednesday and I was hoping to have my baby back this Friday possibly. This freaking weather just might throw things off yet another week. AARRGGGHHHH!!!!! God help me I'm going insane without my SVX! I've owned it for 4.5 months and only got to drive it for 2 months. I almost forget what she looks like let alone what she drives like.

It seems I always get stuck behind someone that's obviously taking their goldfish for a joyride.

Guess what?

No school again.....I've lost count now....ice everywhere. I
carved...yes CARVED the Impreza out of the sleet coat it was in....and tried a short trip up the hill to the local market. Even with snow tires and AWD our little road was like a slow-motion version of the Swedish rally. These roads are terrible! Don
