Noise When Making a Left Hand Turn

When i make a fairly sharp left hand turn at speed, I hear this dragging noise, kind of hard to describe, coming from the rear of the car. Its not real loud. It only happens when I'm making a left at speed, and it doesnt happen all the time, maybe 75% of the time. There's no sound when going straight or making a right hand turn. I checked the rear brake dust shields and they look OK (not that I'd know what I'm looking for). It just started maybe a couple of months ago and doesnt sound like its getting any worse. The pads and rotors are maybe a year old (rotors are slotted and vented). Other than the sound, the car rides fine. Any ideas what this might be? Thanks.

Jack up the back and check for play in your bearing or hub assy. Then double check your rear pad thickness, sometimes the calipers can stick and wear the pad down to metal on one side.

Re: Noise When Making a Left Hand Turn

Check the plastic lining inside the back guard. It may have come away from the edge to rub on the tyre.

Harvey.
