Online ordering

I need to order some relatively expensive parts today from subaruparts.com.

I haven't so far because they haven't returned my calls or emails. Not returning my messages does not instill the confidence required to place an online order.

So, if I simply skip the phone call and just order the parts online, am I going to get them? I'd like to hear youe experiences, good or bad.

Thanks.

Thumbs down DONT't

I am a big fan (so far) of the following:

1stsubaruparts.com

it's where Scott Williams (formally of subaruparts.com) went and they have someone that will actually answer the phone when you call them. Scott will even talk to you about your order. The website seems to have a hard time with MSE 6.0 newer, so best to stay with netscape for now....

Their prices were lower too!

Well, crap, I didn't know Scott went there. I already placed my order and it turns out that 1stSubaruParts.com would have saved me at least $40.

I hope I can cancel it...

Thanks.

Update

Well, it took some online detective work to find a number for the dealership so I could talk to an actual person, but I cancelled my order with subaruparts.com. If for no other reason, they lost my order because 1stsubaruparts.com is cheaper by $50 this time.

I am irritated that I can't call the number given on their site and talk to a person. Their recording says I can keep holding, try again or email them. And none of those options get me anywhere. So I had to work my way through their phones from another direction.

To subaruparts.com's credit, Trish cancelled my order with no fuss.

Thank you, uncamitzi, for pointing 1stsubaruparts.com out to me.

Another update:

After writing this post I called 1stsubaruparts.com. A PERSON answered, and as soon as I said I needed SVX parts I was transferred to Scott. Scott took my order and said he'd try his best to have the parts to me by Friday. Awesome. And it'll be even more awesome if he pulls it off.

Unhappy I don't have my sheets here at work

But I will check the thread when I get home and give them to you.

I am also going to try to scan the green sheets that I got with the parts #'s on them into my computer tonight. I will put them in my locker if I have any success. If you go to 1stsubarupart.com they have the OEM cat on line. check it out.

(maybe i'm in the wrong business....... I should shill for autoparts shops)
