Hmm...raffle...I have a few ideas of things to contribute for next year (And NOT shift knobs!)

Im sure that having an svx available for raffle might just bring in a few extra faces. I'd love to see a Reading with twice as many people next year, especially after realizing all the special planning that goes into the events, lodging, food, ect.

Alright... I am ready to set up an account to hold any contributions to the Raffle for the car... If anyone is interested in donating for this please send paypal to svxspeedshop@gmail.com OR snail mail a check to

I will do my best to keep track of who donated how much as your donations will be counted toward the raffle tickets for the car. Please if you are sending any payments include your real name AND your svxnet handle... Thanks to all who are contributing

Have you determined how much the raffle tickets are going to cost?

You should just set a goal amount then divide that into a limited amount of raffle tickets.

Estimated cost??

Purchase- $500-800
Parts- $1000
Misc- $400-500

So lets just put estimated cost about $2500

Now I would LOVE to be able to just put together a car on my own accord and donate it... BUT I don't have that kind of cash laying around. SO that being said I hope we can get 100 tickets sold so I will list them now at $25.

Donations are ready to be accepted and I can start to get this rolling. Anyone who is far away is more than welcome to buy tickets but pick-up or shipping of the vehicle upon winning the raffle is all in your hands. I will do my best to arrange it but you need to hold up your end.

I think $25 a ticket is more than fair, and I'm sure we could easily sell at least 100 of them. I would be willing to buy at least 5 or 10 given the chance to win an entire car!

If it helps, if the winner needs a place to store the car, I can offer to keep it at my parent's place until pickup could be arranged. They live in Phoenixville, which is about 15 mins from the Downingtown exit of the Turnpike. It is fairly close to Morgantown (about half an hour).

Well as far as I know, we have a car that is being donated to the raffle... You can thank DarknessofDeath for donating the pearly he has. We are still ironing out the finer points before I can confirm anything but that is the plan as of right now... with that said, I still believe that I will be dropping a 5mt into it for the sake of gathering greater interest and because... they all should be 5mt right?? I am going to need to clean up a bit of the rust spots and have the whole car reshot with new pearl... this isn't going to be cheap so your donations are very much appreciated still... So far I have 1 donation that came so far... Thank you Mission, I will set aside your information for your ticket(s)

OH!!! I almost forgot... It is more than likely that the car will recieve large SVX Net logos on the hood and the 2 doors to represent the network... also any of you business guys... Sponsorship is an option too in which vynils can be made to put in a desired location on the car

I hope you are joking about the large logos... unless they are easily removeable...

I think that would kill some interest...
