Is it easy to tag motorcycles with a speed gun?
'Cuz if it is that cop either wasn't lookin' or didn't care that I was doing 15 over the limit. (45 in 30)
Or maybe it's because I looked at'em before I passed in front and he expected me to slow down. Well I did. Gradually. He coulda nabbed me if he wanted. I'm pretty sure he wasn't sleeping. He was just sitting in a very open area ready to pounce. It seems I eluded APD yet again. They'll get me one day though, at this rate. I just know it. So anyways, momocycles? Speed traps? Laserbeamination?

Yeah I have way too much fun with mine.
People must have thought I was either crazy or stupid, leaning forward to go really fast, leaning waaaaaay back to cruise slowly, dodging sewer access and imperfection in the road, clutching unnecessarily. If I had to summarize it in a word, it's pretty much a leisurely funthingthat'sbetterthancarssometimes. :DDDDDD edit: How fast is the RX8? I probably didn't race one.

I haven't got a good explanation, but the police generally let motorcyclists get away with a lot more than cage drivers. I suspect that most people who can afford motorcycles don't tend to let their tabs expire or insurance lapse. They probably have fewer criminal warrants, and are also probably much better drivers / riders than most people. I think the police also appreciate that motorcycles have an enormous performance advantage over cars in terms of acceleration, braking and cornering; and the rules of the road were not drafted with much consideration for that difference.
You're quite vulnerable to stupid drivers, but it often seems like you're nearly invincible to a cop with a RADAR gun. I've been stopped [only once] on my motorcycle for speeding. I was told exactly how fast I was going, (and I was,) but I was given a "warning" because he was "a nice guy." ...or rather he couldn't stick it to me because he'd lost sight of me several times in the time it took him to turn around and catch up. If I hadn't slowed down, he probably would have lost me. It's weird, but I guess they don't think of motorcycles as part of the herd. |

I guess they aren't nearly as threatening as a Ram 35billion barreling down the road at +90. I feel like a target though. It seems as if everyone is trying ot get the jump on me or cut me off. A lot of people do, because I really don't feel like screwing around jockeying for red light pole position.

I went that route again today in the Grand Cherokee, and did the exact same thing, cept I might have been doing 50.
Forgot he was there. He still didn't give a damn.

It was weird when for a couple days everyone seemed to be doing 65 in a 50 zone and I'm like JEEZ EVERYONE IS SPEEDING. D: But there's other times where it seems like everyone is going slower. The Jeep's speedo is accurate, though.
