Agree 100%. I've seen and read about so many tuner Civics that are putting down well over 300hp to the wheels, do the 1/4 in low 13's (w/o NOS) and pull over 0.9g's on the skidpad. Even though those cars are slow from the factory, the import tuner market probably offers more parts for those cars than any other.

good news is is that the tuner crowd is moving away from the civic and into other cars on the market such as the wrx, srt-4 and several GM products... honda's sales were down last year and attribute it to this trend
woohoo

As the owner of both a SVX and RSX Type S, I must say that the Acura would blow the doors off the SVX from a stop....the SVX might have a chance from a rolling start 60mph and up, but even that might be close.
But in the end, I would rather have the SVX for a year-round tourer. RSX is very fun for racing around, but not very good for long trips and winter driving. Nick |

Yes, civics do have huge aftermarket potential, but most of these ricers spend thousands on body kits, fart cans, and aluminum wings. These guys are all about looks and the do nothing under the hood. I think performance should always come first.
That being said I feel like bashing on V6 mustangs. 190hp out of a 3.8 Liter! what's that!? Because of the greater displacement and lighter weight they can beat me off the life but i waste them in second gear. Haven't raced a GT but i think i could win that too.

Uh...no. You'll have no problem dusting V6 Mustangs as they run mid 16's in the 1/4 stock - and off the line the AWD of the SVX will be in our favor as well.
V8 Mustangs are totally out of an SVX's league - unless the SVX is HEAVILY modded (i.e. NOS). Stock Mustang GTs run 14.0-14.5 in the 1/4 depending on whether its a 5spd or auto. Only way a relatively stock SVX would show its tail lights to a GT is if it's pouring down rain or there's snow! -Chike Quote:
