Anyone here use....

Altiris Client/Server Management Suite?

How reliable is it? I am thinking of getting it for my clients and it seems impressive when I tried it out but I want to know if anyone has any experience with it. I know big places like NASA and NewYork Times use it.

In that case, you might contact SVXRide, directly. He works for NASA.

I use it.

It works great, but it is expensive. If you install Bootworks, you can do whatever you want to the machine without ever touching it. Turn it off, On, Make an image of it, load an image on it, copy files to or from it, remote control it, force a reboot.

We use it on XP Pro machines and CE.NET Thin Clients.

The imaging is fast, lets you edit the images and will run a sysprep type utility after the imaging to set host, etc.

The only issue is machines that don't support WOL can be turned off remotely, but not back on

It is pure IP based, so it works across routers and through VPN.

It is awesome to shadow a home user while they are VPN'd in to see what the error message really says

Cool.

I am meeting with them next week to talk to them about $$$. But I am not paying so it's not a big deal. I was pretty impressed when I tried it out. I love the carbon copy feature.
