Question Windoe tint and inspection

For all those who live in Pennsylvania. Does anyone know if tinted windows would cause you to fail inspection? I know the motor vehicle code does not allow for tinting the front windown, I jsut wasn't sure if this was an item that would cause you to flunk.

On a side note, will dark tint (not metallic) decrease radar detector performance?

Thanks

Don't know about PA law as regards tinting, but, yes, dark tint will decrease radar detector performance -- but, only slightly.

Exclamation

You'd better check with the DMV re: legal vs. non-legal, but any tint shop in VA should know what shade of darkness is allowed. Ron.

you can tint all the windows except the windshield. i put 35% all the way around. not too dark and not too bright.....ahh...the happy medium.
