A Slightly (but similar) Way to Brighten Headlight Lens
http://s222.photobucket.com/albums/d...ht%20Cleaning/
At the above link is an article (two pages) from the "Hemmings Sports & Exotic Car magazine, March 2009 issue. In order to clean and polish the headlights of the Lexan plastic covers for headlights, they follow much the same approach as has been on this forum before, however, the big difference is the use of Meguiars mag and aluminum wheel polish vs a "polishing compound". The wheel polish is apparently a bit more abrasive than most of the plastic polishes on the market. I haven't tried it yet, but I think I will ...... Harry

Re: A Slightly (but similar) Way to Brighten Headlight Lens
Well thanks a lot for sharing! If it turns out well, or if not, post some before and after pics if you get the chance! I'd love to clean mine up a bit more than what I had done a little while ago..

Re: A Slightly (but similar) Way to Brighten Headlight Lens
The mothers aluminum polish is what I always used on my old svx. It works great! Just make sure you follow it up with a plastic polish.

I used to use the the Aluminum polish for my headlights but they still yellow after a few weeks. Wet sanding + plastic compound and then a nice clearcoat sprayed over lasts along time. Dustin

Re: A Slightly (but similar) Way to Brighten Headlight Lens
What is the preferred clear coat? Just some Duplicolor, or something made for plastic?
