First Compliment with the SVX

Well this put a smile on my face today . I was putting gas in my car and a van pulled up beside me on the opposite pump. He got and went to say " I haven't seen one of those in forever". I said "Yeah, there are not that many left". He continued to ask me about it and I explained mine is the FWD model and it is fairly fast. He complimented me on my SVX and I left. First time someone asked about it since I have owned it.

I had a man and his wife talk to me about mine in a Tim Hortons (coffee/donut shop) parking lot. He actually asked if I'd like to trade it for his Corolla Yesterday I had a fellow in an SUV staring at me at a traffic light. He stopped about 50' back from the car in front of him to look. I rolled down the windows to show him, and his face went like

I love having a car that gets noticed.

Attention getter

Even though I drive a couple of other unusual cars, the Alfa and the Capri, I've never had what has happened twice since I got the SVX. One time in my local Von's supermarket parking lot, and again at the local Costco. In both occasions, a lady driving an upscale late model car, first a Cadillac and then a Lexus, came over and said, "That's the most beautiful car I've ever seen, what is it?"
I've always known that the SVX was good looking, that's one of the reasons I lusted after one for so long. But I've never owned another car that had that effect on perfect strangers. Amazing, and kind of enjoyable, shows that you don't have to have a $100+k Ferrari or Lambo to get that kind of attention.

It's -20C here right now. I'll stare at it while I'm cleaning the snow off tomorrow morning.
