FRONT wheels bind when turning sharply?

Has anyone experienced their front wheels binding or skipping/shuddering sideways when turning sharply? It seems to be happening to me in my '95 LSi when I turn the steering wheel to near-lock in either direction. (No, I don't do this very often.)

Is this a symptom of AWD binding? I'm familiar with rear-wheel binding, and this is different. It also happens when the FWD fuse is in, so maybe bad/cheap tires, or worn front suspension? I just replaced the front CV axles.

Did the problem exist before replacing the axles? Were the replacement CV joints well lubricated and are the rubber boots OK ? If the CV joints had been is stock for a lengthy period dry lubrication could possibly be the problem.

My 96 LSi just started doing the same thing!!! But mine does it when making turns 90 degrees or sharper so I don't even have to lock my wheel. But if I turn really really slow it won't do it?!?! WTF?

I looked a 92 SVX did exact same thing. Checked the diff. fluid level. Its almost empty.
Make sure your front diff. fluid is full!
