New Rims!

I finally got 18 inches wheels on my car. You may already know where I got the rim idea from.. I was wondering if the combination of the low profile tires and down springs might kill the ride comfort, but so far it's better than all stock.. The new tires are amazingly quiet. The wheels comes with off set, so they give it tight look. What do you guys think?

The body surface... it was just getting cold outside.

Looks good!

Looks better than a lot of aftermarket wheels, imo. What's the width on those?
I'm looking to put some RX-8 wheels on mine eventually...

Thanks,
I forgot the wheel dimension, but 225/40/18 tires are the perfect match.

I actually still wanted to make the car look stock. Nissan Murano wheel has nice feeling, looks bold and modern. I couldn't really find nice aftermarket wheels that I like.....yet.

I actually was thinking about RX-8 rims too.

Looks very nice too! Let me see it when you get those!

My son has bought a set of these for his Black 97, but they have not been put on yet. I just wonder where the Japanese fellow got the little center caps that say "Subaru". There might be a market for 5 or 10 sets of those here in the US.

On that website he doesn't mention where he got it.. All he says is it's made of aluminium... The one with Mazda is plastic?

They look too big and the bright silver clashes too hard against the maroon. They look heavy too.. Maybe if the car was silver with some 16" ones it would look better, but I've seen worse.

For those who want to know, I had a set of those wheels off a Murano yesterday while rotating the tires, and stamped into the back of them it says the dimensions, including width: 18x7.5"

As for weight, I can't be exact, though even with gigantic Murano tires mounted they aren't as heavy as they appear to be. If I had to guess, I'd say that the wheel itself isn't much heavier than our stock rims (which are pretty hefty). Maybe Dayle can weigh one up for us (pref. without tire)?

It looks heavy but not actually. I was surprised that it was really light. My first feeling when I picked up my car was "oh man maybe it was too big.." But I got used to it in couple of days and now I can't go back to 16" although I had plan to switch back sometime. rear 3/4 view is a killer to me now.
